August 12th 3pm or August 14th 1pm - “A Summer Mediterranean Feast”
A cool Mediterranean breeze blows carrying the exotic fragrances of dishes from Turkey, Italy, and Sardinia. From Gazpacho with Melon and Lemon Tabouli to Exotic Marinated Chicken Kababs, your guests will be delighted. All perfect for late Summer Festivities; no hot stove to stand over and most are prepared ahead.
September 9th 3pm or September 11th 1pm - “Urban Bites- Celebrating Danny Meyer and The Union Square Café”
It was my favorite eating spot when I lived in Gramercy Park. I was there for the opening night and spent many delicious evenings there during my years in New York. Now a celebrity restaurateur and chef, owner Danny Meyer has numerous restaurants including Gramercy Tavern, Tabla, and Eleven Madison Park. Found out why Danny’s food is such a hit with the Manhattaners in-the-know. Join in as we enjoy the dishes that made The Union Square Café famous:
Slow Cooking Black Bean Soup
Corn Pudding with Red Peppers and Okra
Pan Roasted Salmon with Shitake Mushrooms and Balsamic Vinegar Butter Sauce
October 7th 3pm or October 9th 1pm - “Traditional Southern Classics”
Recipes and revelations from two great American Southern Cooks, the legendary Edna Lewis and Chef Scott Peacock. Edna Lewis author of “The Taste of Country Cooking” and Alabama born Chef Scott Peacock have unearthed neglected traditional Southern recipes and worked out new versions perfect for the modern kitchen. We are going to explore some of these dishes and open new windows on traditional Southern classics. A not to be missed adventure!
November 11th 3pm or November 13th 1pm - “Autumn Culinary Delights”
With the coming of Fall the big year-end holidays are right around the corner and turkey and root vegetables immediately come to mind. These classics are as versatile as they are delicious and the beginning of a memorable and untraditional Holiday menu.
Smoked Turkey Enchiladas in a Pumpkin Sauce
Roasted Parsnips and Beets
Silken Turnip Soup and Roasted Black Kale with Pine Nuts and Chilies
December 9th 3pm or December 11th 1pm
“A Merry, Happy and Delicious Holiday Meal” (Bonus Class)
This is Stockton’s favorite time of the year! Between the first Sunday in December and New Years Eve the house twinkles from top to bottom and the dinner table gets a workout with two dinner parties each weekend.
For this class we create a dinner that will be a very special gift to your family and friends. For Christmas Eve or New Years Eve, this is the meal to serve!
