The Test Kitchen at Surfas Culinary District is a hub of culinary education and fun for the food scene in the Los Angeles and Culver City areas. And now the Costa Mesa and Orange County area too!
With programs and classes for all Culinary levels from Professional to novice home cook, the Test Kitchen is a destination for interesting hands-on classes from Pastry, French, Italian, Indian, and Mexican cuisine as well as children’s programs and workshops. Many Saturdays local and international food experts lead free cooking demonstrations that are open to all and always engaging and informative. Past presenters in the Test Kitchen have included:

The Test Kitchen in Culver City is available for private rental for events, parties and cooking classes both during store hours and evenings. It is a 625 square foot fully operational commercial kitchen able to seat 60 people and outfitted with wireless microphone & TV monitor. Additionally four 6 foot adjustable height tables 60 chairs are available for use.
The Test Kitchen is available for filming and has appeared in TV programming, commercials and webisodes.

The Costa Mea Test Kitchen is outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art commercial kitchen equipment.
The space may be used for chef demonstrations, cooking classes, book signings, and team building workshops.
Additionally it is able to seat 110 comfortably with 110 chairs, five 6 foot tables, one 8 foot table, and four 6 foot culinary work stations available for use. The space is outfitted with a wireless microphone, TV monitor, and adjustable camera.
